I don’t really believe that Xiaomi’s products will look like this, and I don’t really believe that the bandwidth between the 2.5G port and each LAN port is only 1Gbps. so I didn’t do any real testing on the 2.5GbE port for a few days after I took it apart.

Set the Xiaomi AX6000 router to AP mode, you can make the four network ports become all LAN ports, so you can test the 2.5GbE port to three LAN port speed will be how much. (Each network port connected to a computer), the network topology diagram will not be drawn. Rush!

Use IxChariot tool to test, script High_Performance_Throughput, ten threads between each two ends, time one minute. The test results are shown in the following table: (Unit: Mbps)

Whether the 2.5GbE port sends data to two or three LAN ports at the same time, the result will only be the same as the transmission speed of one LAN port: 948Mbps.

Is there something wrong with the NIC I use to connect to the 2.5GbE port?

Intel X550-T1, AQC107, and realtek 2.5G NICs were used to test all three, and the results were consistent.

Is it only in this AP mode?

WAN to multiple receivers, IxChariot can not test, I do not understand, can not say it does not work. You can use the self-built speedtst server to access the WAN port, and then connected to the LAN port of the computer at the same time point speed test, add up the results will be about the same.

First test two it, the results are the same, and the same as the previous data. Alas.

This problem, if you do not have this multi-device intranet high-speed transmission needs, or simply do not need to connect the LAN port to use, this problem is not a problem.

If you have the above needs? No way, you add a 2.5G port switch it, the 2.5G port of the Xiaomi AX6000 connected to the switch on the line. Not expensive 100 dollars about 8 network interfaces.

Some people ask what is the speed of 2.5G port to wireless? The CPU is connected to the QCN9024 with a pci bus, the bandwidth is large enough, and there are a lot of Xiaomi 11 and AX6000 speed measurements between 1.4G and 1.7G. 2.5G to wireless speed I did not measure.

The test in this article is for the channel bandwidth between the 2.5GbE network port and the gigabit switch chip is only 1Gbps.
