First look at the CPU, the model is Qualcomm’s IP6000, quad-core 1.2GHz, A53 architecture (quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 processor @ 1.2GHz processor), integrated with a single-core 1.5G NPU (network acceleration engine).
It has a magnesium memory chip on the left, model MT41J128M16JT-107:K, with 256MB capacity.
On the left is a flash memory chip, model number F59D1G81MB, with 128MB capacity.
The CPU has a QCA8075 on top, which is a five-port Gigabit PHY chip. Connected to the IPQ6000 via SGMII (2.5Gbps bandwidth), there will be no bottleneck of gigabit rate.

The maximum RF channel bandwidth per chain is 40 MHz.
The QCN5021 is a 2 x 2 RF companion chip to the IPQ60x8 SoC, which connects through two
I/Q interface pairs to the Wi-Fi BB in IPQ60x8, where the data converters lie. The QCN5021 has
an integrated LNA and PA for each chain. The QCN5021 provides the LNA_EN and PA_EN
digital signals necessary to control the Tx/Rx switch. The WLAN baseband digital (BBD),
ADC/DAC, and BB-PLL are all on the IPQ60x8.

I wonder where the differences between QCN5021 and QCN5022 lie. From the picture above, QCN5021 is QCN5022 with integrated PA.
This China Mobile CMIOT-AX18 has no external independent FEM chip for 2.4G, only the QCN5021 built-in PA and LNA.
The 5G chip has an external FEM chip with 4555B silkscreened on it, the model number should be QPF4555B, but the model number is not found on the QORVO website, and there is no information on the whole network.
Measured the size of the chip: 3x3mm.
Then use a multimeter to find out all the pins of ground (GND) and come up with pins 3, 6, 7, 13, 15 and 16 are GND.

Immediately replaced with a second unit without disassembling the machine, set 44 channels and 80MHz, the measured speed is still more than 40Mbps, not normal ah.
I saw that there is a region selection setting, may be the region is limited, set a U.S. region, and then measured, still more than 40 Mbps
Is the power in the low channel is low ah, change to high frequency channel 161 it, and then measured the speed. God, no change ah 。。。。。。。。 Disappointed to the extreme
Finally, I took the Xiaomi 10, and the band test was only 70Mbps, alas, not normal, very slow. Very bad. The 5G quality of this CMIOT-AX18 is not generally poor. The close distance is no problem, a meter away from the speed measurement 300 megabit telecom broadband can have more than 340Mbps, is a long distance D point position under the performance is very poor.
From the hardware, it can not be so bad ah, want to go online to update the firmware to see, but there is no online upgrade function, and did not find the official website can download the firmware to upgrade.
20 dollars to buy this one hardware is quite worth it, but to buy this wireless quality is not worth it.
Support mesh function, the signal is not enough, the number to come together, but also can be used.
